Phone guide access code

When you download a Welcome Book PDF from a project saved to your account, StayPerk publishes the book as a phone guide, a digital guest manual guests open on their phones. Anyone with the link can read it, and a 4-digit access code protects the private details. We email you the guide link and the code once.

Use this to share the guide with guests, change its access code, or take it offline.

1. 1Send each guest the guide link and the access code, for example in your check-in message.
2. 2To change the code, open Properties, choose the menu next to the property, then Edit manual.
3. 3Choose Links and QR codes. Under Private access, enter a new 4-digit access code, or choose Create random code.
4. 4Choose Save code. Guests then need the new code.
5. 5To unpublish, turn off the Active switch at the top of the manual editor, then choose Save manual. Turn Active back on and save again to publish it.

• Guests need the access code to see the Wi-Fi, door code, address and contact details. The Wi-Fi, Directions and Safety & Emergency sections are private, and the check-in instructions sit in the private check-in details while the check-in time stays visible. Any other section that mentions a door, gate, lockbox or keypad code, a password, or your contact details is private too.
• The rest of the guide opens with the link: welcome, guest guidelines, amenities, checkout, local recommendations, parking without codes and photos of the place.
• To change who sees a section, open the section and, under Name and access, choose Public or Private. Then choose Save manual.
• If this Welcome Book or project already has a property in your account that was never published, the guide is published on that property. The book fills only its empty fields. A property with a published manual is never changed.
• StayPerk keeps only a protected copy of the code, so it can show or email the code only when the code is created. If you lose it, set a new code.
• Downloading the PDF again does not publish a second guide or send another email. The book editor shows the same guide link.
• Photos from the book are added where they fit: the cover photo becomes the property photo and page photos join the matching sections. The book logo is not added. Photos from hidden pages stay out.
• If the guide cannot be published, the book editor offers Create digital version instead. Your PDF download is not affected.
• Visitors who are not signed in, or whose project is not saved to their account, see Create digital version as before.

• If guests cannot open the guide, confirm they have the latest code and that the manual is Active.
• If the email did not arrive, open Links and QR codes and save a new code.
