What StayPerk keeps from each kind of payment, and who pays the card fees.

What this is
StayPerk is free to use. When money is paid through StayPerk, a fee comes out of the seller's share. These rates apply from November 1, 2026.
When to use it
Use this to work out what you will receive from a sale, or to explain a fee on a payout.
Steps
- A host pays an invoice by card through StayPerk: No StayPerk fee. The seller keeps about 97%; card fees: passed on to the sender. $200 invoice: sender $193.90, card fee about $6.10.
- A property manager bills a host for a service through StayPerk: 5% + card fee. The seller keeps about 92%; card fees: passed on to the property manager. $250 winterization: property manager $229.95, StayPerk $12.50, card fee about $7.55.
- A guest buys a host's add-on, such as early check-in: 10%. The seller keeps 90%; card fees: stayperk pays. $50 early check-in: host $45, StayPerk $5.
- A guest buys a property manager's add-on or service: 10%. The seller keeps 90%; card fees: stayperk pays. $80 extra cleaning: property manager $72, StayPerk $8.
- A host or property manager books a service provider for a property: 10%. The seller keeps 90%; card fees: stayperk pays. $150 cleaning: provider $135, StayPerk $15.
- A guest books a service provider's service from a guest manual: 20%. The seller keeps 80%; card fees: stayperk pays. $100 paddle board rental: provider $80, host $5, property manager $5, StayPerk $10.
What to expect
- Fees come from the price before tax. Tax collected on a sale is passed to the seller in full.
- On guest bookings of a service provider, 5% of the fee goes to the host and 5% to the property manager, when there is one.
- Paid add-ons and services must cost at least CA$10.
- These rates apply to purchases made from November 1, 2026. Earlier purchases keep the rates in force when they were made: 5% on add-ons, 10% on services, and no fee on invoices.
