What this is

Create Welcome Book opens the Welcome Book & Guest Sign Builder directly at /welcome-book-builder. Create a finished printable book or guest sign, and optionally reuse supported guest information in a digital manual.

When to use it

Use the PDF builder for a printable Welcome Book, guest signs, house rules, checkout instructions or a host cleaning checklist.

Steps

  1. Choose Create Welcome Book in the public header, homepage, or Resources. Choose from available designs, then Welcome Book or Sign.
  2. Browse Welcome Book templates at /welcome-book-templates. Filter designs by character, choose View details to inspect an inside page and matching sign, or choose a cover or Use for free to enter the builder with that design selected. Each design detail page offers Customize this theme — free.
  3. If a local draft already exists, a theme link leaves it unchanged. Choose Continue to reopen it, or Start new with the requested theme to create a separate project. Editing and PDF download remain free without an account.
  4. Customize text, photos, logos and icons. Add, hide or reorder book pages, choose a print size, review and download your PDF. Signs also support PNG.
  5. Choose Continue to reopen your last work saved on this device. Choose Save to keep a project in your account, or Your saved templates to reopen its last active book, sign and page. Older multi-item projects ask you to choose an item. Saving checks the existing app session before asking you to sign in and returns to the same editor.
  6. When optional support sharing is available, Share draft with support sends a private, redacted copy for builder help. Sharing is separate from analytics consent and is never required to edit, save locally or download. Stop sharing removes the support copy and stops further updates; your own draft is unchanged.
  7. The separate Share a private copy of this PDF with support for 30 days option retains the exact exported file, including any sensitive information in it. It is off by default and works without an account. Remove shared PDF copies from this browser removes your shared files while their browser receipts remain available. You can download without sharing.
  8. From the Wi-Fi sign page, choose Make a Wi-Fi sign to open the matching state under /welcome-book-builder. Browser Back returns to the sign guide.
  9. Choose Create digital version in the book editor to reuse supported guest-facing text in a private digital draft at /create-manual for review. Review imported content, then use PDF manuals inside the digital editor for shared editing. An already linked standalone book offers Open digital manual instead of creating another digital version.
  10. After signing in, a template can recover its claimed digital manual even if you first created the template while signed out. Returning to that book reopens the existing manual. Stay times begin empty; enter the actual check-in and checkout times before sharing or printing them.
  11. In the digital editor, open PDF manuals directly below Previews. Choose any of the 16 designs, Welcome Book or Sign, and a paper size. Edit, preview and download in the same editor without re-entering your details or signing in for a download.
  12. Choose Create digital manual in the header to start /create-manual, or Upload / convert existing manual at /convert-manual to request conversion.

What to expect

  • PDF editing and downloads do not require an account. Browser-local work can be lost if you clear browser storage; online saving requires an account.
  • Support cannot open old browser-only drafts. A shared support snapshot is a saved copy, not your live screen. Passwords, access codes, private or host-only blocks, uploaded images and QR payloads are excluded. Avoid entering personal details into shared free text. Support copies expire after 30 days without updates; this does not change account-saved project retention.
  • PDF manuals in the digital editor share the current manual content, including unsaved edits. Text edits update the same draft; design, page order and print inclusion stay separate. A downloaded PDF is a snapshot, so download again after changing details. Cloud saving and digital publication require an account.
  • Marketing pages and articles contain previews and links; the builder opens on its own page.
  • Only supported Public guest fields are reused for a printable version. Private sections, access codes, host notes, staff-only content, operational checklists, and internal metadata are excluded.

Tips

  • Check all sample content before printing. Keep guest details separate from private host or cleaner notes.
  • Digital edits do not rewrite an old PDF; download a fresh copy when printable details change.
