Switch and manage account roles
Open another enabled workspace for this browser or change the separately saved default role.
For hosts, service providers, property managers and guests ยท Updated September 30, 2026
What this is
The Logged in as control opens a role menu. Session switching affects only the current browser session; Role settings separately manages enabled business roles and the persistent default.
When to use it
Use this when one account has more than one valid role, when you need to add another business role, or when a legacy account must finish role selection.
Steps
- Select Logged in as in the application sidebar.
- Choose an enabled role to open its dashboard for this browser session. StayPerk uses a one-time secure handoff when the Guest and business workspaces are on different domains.
- Choose Add another role, then select Host, Property manager, or Service provider. StayPerk enables the role immediately and opens its dashboard; profile details remain optional. If this crosses from the Guest website to the business app, StayPerk securely preserves the selected setup and returns you to the intended page afterward.
- Choose Manage roles to open the universal Role settings page.
- Choose Make default beside an enabled role only when you want future sign-ins to prefer it. This does not switch the current page by itself.
- Choose Remove beside a business role when it is no longer needed. StayPerk prevents removal of the final valid role.
What to expect
- Guest cannot be added manually. It appears only after StayPerk verifies a paid purchase for the account email.
- Adding a business role does not require a profile address, phone number, company, or biography. Add those details later only when they help the feature you are using.
- Older Guest role links redirect to the universal Role settings page instead of showing a 404.
- Accounts marked Role selection required cannot enter a Host, Property Manager, Service Provider, or Guest workspace until a valid role is selected or an administrator completes an evidence-based correction. StayPerk blocks the workspace before its page content renders.
- If older profile fields are invalid, StayPerk keeps the valid account roles and opens role setup only when the account has no resolved role, instead of leaving the workspace on a permanent loading screen.
Common problems
- If cross-domain switching expires, return to the original signed-in tab and choose the role again.
- If Guest is missing after a manual or service payment, open that paid receipt and use Create an account to manage this purchase with the same verified email.
